Electronic Materials: UV-Curable Epoxies
EMCAST 1790 delayed-action, UV-curable epoxy products are designed to allow for two opaque parts to be glued together using a UV adhesive, which makes them ideal for small-assembly projects and laminations. The adhesive is applied and irradiated with long-wave UV light, and the surface-skin cure is delayed by seconds or minutes, depending upon formulation, UV intensity and duration. A short heat post-cure after the parts are mated hastens the final cure. The products adhere well to rigid and flexible PVC, acrylic sheet and copper foil, as well as aluminum and stainless steel.
