Some 291 metropolitan areas across the country now qualify as improving housing markets, according to the National Association of Home Builders/First American Improving Markets Index (IMI) for September. Is the housing market improving in your area?

Yes: 58.3%
No: 25.0%
Maybe/Unsure: 16.7%

Comments:

What housing exists, is unaffordable to most working people. If this was the 1930s, this would be called a depression.
