Tape Summit 2016 in the Sunshine State
The PSTC's Tape Summit 2016 comes to Orlando to showcase the latest in PSA tape know-how.

The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) will host the 2016 Tape Summit and Spring Membership Meeting May 2-6 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The event will offer PSA professionals the chance to learn about the latest trends in PSA technologies and regulations, explore the exhibition space, and network with other industry professionals.
Exhibition and Networking
The exhibition hall will host over 50 exhibitors featuring their latest innovations and products on Wednesday. An exhibitor’s networking lunch will be held will take place from 12-2 p.m., and an innovation poster session and reception from 3:30-5:30 p.m., where visitors will be free to visit the exhibition tables.
Tape Summit 2016 will host three receptions on Monday and Tuesday nights, including: a dinner on Monday from 5:15-7 p.m., a welcome reception for TECH 39 and Tape U participants on Tuesday from 5-6:30 p.m., and a dinner for members on Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m.
Keynote Speakers and Education Sessions
Two keynote speakers will give addresses during the event: Barry Asmus, Ph.D., from the National Center for Policy Analysis, and Dennis Snow from Walt Disney World Co. Asmus is a senior economist for the National Center for Policy Analysis and a professor of economics. As a political, business and financial expert, he will be speaking at the Spring Membership Meeting on Tuesday. Snow, a customer service speaker, trainer and consultant, launched a division of the Disney Institute that is responsible for consulting, and taught corporate philosophy and business practices to cast members and leadership for several years at the Disney University. Snow will speak to TECH 39 on Wednesday morning.
This year, the Tape Summit will host three educational events: Tape U, the Regulatory Summit, and TECH 39. Tape U will provide two educational tracks, Adhesives and Advanced Technology of PSA Tapes, and Fundamentals of PSA Tape. The advanced class will take place Monday and Tuesday, while the fundamentals class will be held on Tuesday (see the Tape U Schedule on p. 27).
New additions to the Tape Summit this year include the Regulatory Summit and the Responsible Tape Manufacturer (RTM) Orientation. The RTM orientation will discuss PSTC’s RTM certification for member-companies and help companies prepare for upcoming renewal audits. The orientation will be held on Tuesday from 9-11:30 a.m. The Regulatory Summit will be held on Tuesday from 12-5 p.m. and cover topics such as Prop 65, exposure testing, lifecycle assessment, and environmental regulations.
TECH 39 will begin on Wednesday and run through the end of the Summit on Friday, including a keynote speaker; six sessions with seminars on topics of innovations, applications, sustainability and global issues that impact the PSA tape industry; and Q&A panels with the speakers.
