Bostik to Strengthen Engineering Adhesives Portfolio with Acquisition of PMP in China

Arkema recently announced the planned acquisition of Shanghai Zhiguan Polymer Materials (PMP), a producer of hot-melt adhesives for the consumer electronics market. This project is reportedly in line with Bostik’s strategy to build a strong position in the engineering adhesives market and to accelerate its development in the fast-growing electronics market, especially in Asia.

PMP reportedly specializes in reactive hot-melt polyurethane (HMPUR) adhesives and generates over €1 million (approximately $1.1 million) in annual sales. The transaction is scheduled to close in the first quarter of 2022.
