Teckrez Inc. has announced the promotion of Heather Bush to chief financial officer, as well as the appointment of Chris Armstrong to technical account manager. Bush has served as controller for the tackifier resin and acrylic monomer company since January 2021. Armstrong joins Teckrez from a commercial sales position with Alphamin Inc., a Brenntag company.
In her expanded role, Bush will be responsible for external financing, taxes, credit, registration, insurance, accounting, receivables, payables, and financial reporting. Bush also will manage critical non-financial functions including information technology, human resources, and customer service.
“The comprehensive financial review process Heather implemented, as well as significant improvements in invoicing, payables, order processing and duty administration have positioned Teckrez for success during our rapid growth the past two years,” said Marc Jackson, president Teckrez. “As a result, our growth has been supported seamlessly, and Teckrez has the financial support for significant continued expansion.”
Armstrong previously worked at Ingevity (formerly MeadWestvaco) for seven years in the pine chemicals industry doing both applications testing and synthesis work centered on rosin acids/rosin esters. He was largely responsible for the adhesive tackifier product line with experience in many different markets.
“Chris is a great addition to the Teckrez team,” said Kim Meidl, resins director, Teckrez. “We value his expertise and track record of driving top-line growth.”
Bush holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the College of Charleston and a Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
