Chemical distributor Brenntag recently announced the acquisition of Aik Moh Group. With a focus on Southeast Asia, Aik Moh Group offers a wide range of industrial chemicals, mixing and blending capabilities, and value-added services such as repacking, warehousing, and logistics support with a focus on Southeast Asia.
Founded in 1980, Aik Moh Group is headquartered in Singapore and operates nine blending and warehousing facilities in four countries. The company distributes mainly solvents, glycols, and blends to customers throughout Southeast Asia. These products are used in various industries coatings, construction, and inks and polymers. Aik Moh already generates a significant part of its sales with products from sustainable sources.

With this acquisition, Brenntag Essentials expands its business into key Asia-Pacific markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. According to the company, the acquisition is an additional step in Brenntag’s ongoing transformation process, driving its execution of the Brenntag Essentials’ strategy to strengthen local capabilities and market coverage in high-growth markets like Asia-Pacific.

The acquired business generated sales of approx. €76.6 million in the financial year 2022 (ending March 31). Closing of the transaction is subject to certain contractual conditions and regulatory approvals.
