A sustainable product range for the coating and adhesives industries, DEGALAN® proTerra resins are partially made from recycled PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), to support a circular economy. These resins offer a reduced CO2 emissions compared to established resins made from virgin, fossil-based raw materials.
The new product range will be manufactured with 35% material from recycled PMMA leading to an approximate 15% reduction in CO2 emissions. These products provide a drop-in alternative for solvent-borne coatings and have high solids with low solvent content, excellent weatherability and appearance, low viscosity, and are quick drying.
