Berry Global Group Inc. supplies a range of rigid, flexible, and non-woven products to customers in industries such as healthcare, personal care, and food and beverage. The company is organized in four reporting segments: Consumer Packaging International; Consumer Packaging North America; Engineered Materials; and Health, Hygiene & Specialties.
Net sales in Berry Global’s Health, Hygiene & Specialties segment increased 3% to $3.17 billion in the 2022 fiscal year (ended October 2, 2022). The segment produces adhesives, sealants, and tapes (among many additional products) for applications in aerospace, automotive, construction, medical, and others. (The company declined to provide specific adhesives/sealants-related sales and other information.)
“Our businesses delivered fiscal year record results, including 10% revenue growth and 7% adjusted earnings per share growth, coming off of another record year in fiscal 2021. Over the past few years we have seen persistent inflation and have taken proactive pricing actions while investing in cost reduction efforts,” said Tom Salmon, chairman and CEO.
NOTES: In February of this year, Berry Global announced that Salmon will retire as CEO and chairman of the board effective December 31, 2023. The company has engaged an executive search firm to assist with the identification of a successor.
