H.B. Fuller will be showcasing a number of new technologies at Labelexpo Europe 2023 in Brussels. Technologies that will be featured at the event include several labeling adhesives that address sealing, seaming, and repairing for enhanced sustainability. These include the following:
- Swift®tak PS 8405 is a water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) with non-water whitening properties. Designed for those seeking a premium PET label with a no-label look, this water-based PSA offers high resistance to water whitening to help labels maintain their appearance, even in challenging environments and temperatures. This adhesive delivers superior performance with excellent clarity and optimized peel, tack, and durability properties. It is also ideal for applications where aesthetics matter, as the adhesive offers a blend of functionality and “no look” transparency.
- The ultra-removable and highly repositionable Gel-Tac™ products are based on water-based acrylic, pressure-sensitive microsphere technology. Imagine labels that can be effortlessly removed without leaving visible residue, markings, or damage. These microsphere adhesives have a ready-to-go formulation for photo albums, consumer advertising, masking tapes, wall or window decals, graphics, wallpapers, liner-less labels, and tape constructions and can be easily repositioned or replaced.
- The Earthic™ portfolio is H.B. Fuller’s recently launched sustainable product brand for many packaging applications. Swift®melt Earthic9010E is the company’s circular hot melt PSA for labels that is a near zero CO2* pressure-sensitive adhesive that helps lower overall CO2 operations impact while responding to the demanding packaging requirements. The product offers excellent performance on a wide range of substrates and excellent adhesion at low temperatures, and it is based on 80% fossil-free adhesive. Final calculations (*) are still being validated.
