Nouryon announced that its nine manufacturing sites in Brazil are now powered with electricity solely from renewable energy sources, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a low-carbon economy. Nouryon has 60 manufacturing sites around the world with nine in Brazil, which represent 25% of the company’s total electricity usage. This achievement is part of Nouryon’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.

“Nouryon’s dedication to sustainability extends beyond our products and processes; it encompasses our entire manufacturing network,” said Eduardo Nardinelli, senior vice president, South America & Global Carbon Business Leader at Nouryon. “These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to reducing our environmental impact while enhancing our customers’ ability to achieve their sustainability goals.”

As part of its long-term carbon management strategy, Nouryon is continuing to explore opportunities to transition other sites in its global manufacturing network to electricity from renewable sources as well.
