The Griff Network, a provider of roll-to-roll, roll-to-sheet, and roll-to-finished products, announced advancements to its three Fallsington, Pennsylvania, facilities. The upgrades will enable more precise, defect-free coating operations, and improve coater flexibility and capacity.

The company also upgraded its printing abilities by adding a four-color printer with a 120" width capacity. This advance will enable customers to design custom-branded, coated materials.

In addition to the investments, the plants have hired several new key technical assets to support growth targets. Combining the upgrades and resources in production will help deliver quality products in shorter lead times. The Griff Network's pilot line investments help scale up new products for their clients.

Facility upgrades include multiple, versatile technologies to adhesive coat in a wide range of tolerances and thicknesses; adhesives that include UV hot melt acrylics, butyl, rubber, SBS, and PIB formulations; upgraded solid, swirl, and pattern coating capabilities; additional printing capabilities with thermoset-cured, water-based ink; defect and thickness inspection units on the production and pilot coaters; new pilot coating equipment to accelerate scale-up to full production cycle time; and investments of more than $2.5 million in facility operations.

“Griff is committed to continuous investment to keep our customers on the cutting edge of technology and product performance," said Michael Trapp, chief operating officer of The Griff Network.
