OQ Chemicals announced the company will increase prices for certain carboxylic acid products effective Jan. 1, 2025, or as contracts allow. The company cited issues surrounding supply and demand as the reason for the increase.
- In North America and Mexico, n-/i-butyric acid will increase $0.04/lb. In Europe, it will increase €80/mt and in the rest of the world (ROW), it will increase $85/mt.
- In North America and Mexico, n-valeric acid will increase $0.03/lb. In Europe it will increase €60/mt, and in the ROW, n-valeric acid will increase $65/mt.
- In North America and Mexico, n-heptanoic acid will increase $0.07/lb. In Europe, it will increase €150/mt, and in the ROW, n-heptanoic acid will increase $160/mt.
- In North America and Mexico, pelargonic acid will increase $0.10. In Europe, it will increase €200 /mt, and in the ROW, pelargonic acid will increase $210/mt.
- OXLUBE L9-TMP will increase $0.10/lb in North America and Mexico, €200/mt in Europe, and $210/mt in the ROW.
