The Adhesion Society announced that the submission deadline for the Early Career Adhesion Scientist Award has been extended to February 7, 2025.  All materials must be submitted on or before February 7 to be considered.

The Early Career Adhesion Scientist Award was created to recognize a young scientist or engineer for outstanding fundamental research in adhesion science. The award will include a plaque, an engraved nameplate that will be included on the perpetual award board of the Adhesion Society, and a $1,000 cash prize. According to the Adhesion Society website, potential nominees should be an early-career scientist or engineer whose work has “contributed in an outstanding and innovative way to the progress of adhesion science research; the work should have a significant interdisciplinary aspect.” Additionally, eligible nominees “must not be more than 10 years past their terminal degree, and untenured (if in a tenure-track position) at the application deadline.”
