OQ Chemicals Increases Prices for Oxo Intermediates

OQ Chemicals announced a price increase for certain Oxo intermediates products by OQ Chemicals in Europe effective February 1, 2025, or as contracts allow. The company cited supply and demand, as well as increased raw material costs, as reasons for the increase in prices.
In Europe, 2-ethylhexanol will increase €100/mt. Isobutanol, n-butanol, n-butyraldehyde, iso-butyraldehyde, and neopentyl glycol molten/flakes will increase €80/mt. Neopentyl glycol slurry and n-butyl acetate will increase €70/mt.
In the North America/Mexico region, 2-ethylhexanol will increase $0.045/lb, and Neopentyl glycol slurry will increase $0.035/lb.
In the rest of the world, 2-ethylhexanol will increase $105/mt. Isobutanol, n-butanol, n-butyraldehyde, iso-butyraldehyde, and neopentyl glycol molten/flakes will increase $85/mt. Neopentyl glycol slurry and n-butyl acetate will increase $75/mt.
