IPS Adhesives recently launched SCIGRIP® SG2000 to the North American market. Designed with a long open time and more forgiving 1:1 mix ratio, SCIGRIP SG2000 offers enhanced ease of use, with an extended 100–120-minute working window. This new offering is an ideal solution for OEMs and builders seeking greater time savings and flexibility. Transportation, construction, and marine industries are expected to be some of the early adopters of SG2000 technology.
"SG2000 answers the requests we've been seeing from customers for years, providing them the best solution on the market for straightforward application in factories and on jobsites. The specifications for long open time and high gap fill lead the industry and speak for themselves" said Anne Hultgren, vice president of global sales.
The new SG2000 product is a two-part methyl methacrylate adhesive (1:1), available in an off-white color in pail or drum packaging. It is well suited for harsh environments, irregular or uneven surfaces, and a variety of composite substrates. Once bonded, the adhesive provides excellent fatigue, impact and shock load resistance. In addition, SG2000 easily fills deep gaps up to 1.5 inches (39mm), without boiling.
“This launch in North America demonstrates our commitment to product excellence and customer value, enabling users to simplify their assembly routines and save time with a 1:1 mix ratio and complementing our strong 10:1 portfolio. Our chemists have tested the formula extensively to be sure that it offers the durability, strength and environmental resistance customers expect from SCIGRIP while also being very easy to apply,” said Hultgren.
SG2000 adhesives are available now through IPSA’s North American distribution network. For more information, visit www.scigripadhesives.com. Learn more about IPS Adhesives at www.ipsadhesives.com.
