The valve was originally developed to handle the changing needs of brazing and solder fluxes for non-electrical applications. However, its modular design allows it to fill many applications. The valve is divided into two parts — a wetted module contains the metering chamber, and a power-head module pneumatically drives the metering rod. It is constructed of corrosion-resistant plastic and stainless-steel materials. Shot sizes range between 0.01 cc to 0.5 cc.
