SALT LAKE CITY — Huntsman has completed its $120 million purchase of the Morton global TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) business from Rohm and Haas Co., Philadelphia.

The Morton global TPU business, with two manufacturing sites located in Osnabrück, Germany, and Ringwood, Ill., and approximately 160 employees in Europe, the Americas and Asia, will be integrated into Huntsman Polyurethanes as a newly created TPU global strategic business unit.

With the addition of Morton’s four main TPU product areas encompassing aromatics, adhesives, aliphatics and coatings, Huntsman Polyurethanes will become the fourth largest player in the global TPU market.
