Loctite 2440 is a surface-insensitive liquid threadlocker formulated to fixture rapidly on inactive or plated substrates and oily surfaces without the use of a primer. This blue, medium-strength adhesive is designed to prevent loosening and leakage of threaded fasteners. The product is a rapid-curing threadlocker, formulated to develop useable strength in half the amount of time compared to traditional liquid threadlockers. The threadlocking adhesive develops bonds without the use of a primer on "inactive" surfaces such as stainless steel, zinc and zinc phosphate.
