This company has announced U.S. EPA registration for its new Vanquish™ 100 plastics antimicrobial — the first new biocidal active ingredient to be registered as a preservative for plastics in the United States in the last five years. Based on a dual-purpose preservative and effects molecule, this product features broad spectrum activity and incorporates the active nBBIT (N-Butyl-1, 2-benzisothiazolin-3-one). In preservation mode, Vanquish100 prevents deterioration of plastics while its effects capabilities prevent bacterial and fungal surface growth. Applications include polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC, silicones and polyurethanes.
