DuPont, Wilmington, Del., has announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of DuPont Bynel® 3900 series resins for use in contact with food. Now food producers and their converters will have improved flexibility in designing packaging structures where the barrier adhesives resin is functional as the heat seal or food-contact layer. The resins provide exceptional adhesion to nylon, as well as good adhesion to ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer.
