How the Guide Is Organized
The Buyers' Guide is divided into five main sections: Associations, Product Index, Product Listings, Suppliers and Distributors. We moved the Association Listings to the front of the Buyers' Guide this year followed by directories of the member companies for both the Adhesive and Sealant Council and the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council.
The Product Listings are divided into eight major categories: Additives and Chemical Specialties; Oils and Fatty Acids; Resins and Base Polymers; Pigments and Dyes, Dry/Dispersions; Solvents; Containers, Packaging and Material Handling; Equipment; and Services. We moved Internet companies and other services into their own category, Services, from the expanding Equipment category. We also added headers at the top of the pages indicating the major category (i.e. Equipment) on a given page.
Looking Up a Manufacturer, Product or Service
If you know the name of the manufacturer(s), go directly to the Supplier Listings (pp. 104-125) to find out more about the company. The Supplier Listings provide addresses, key personnel, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and Web site addresses, as well as a brief description of the supplier companies.
If you do not know the names of the manufacturers who supply the products of interest, refer to the Product Index (pp. 44-45). Products are listed alphabetically under each of the eight major categories. Find the appropriate page and go to the Product Listings section where an alphabetical listing of manufacturers/suppliers appears under each product heading. Companies listed in boldface type are advertising in this issue, and the page numbers of those ads are referenced. Find the companies of interest and proceed to the ad and to the Supplier Listings.
