WASHINGTON — The Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry (API) is making available a new model respiratory-protection program. The 10-step program can help educate employees on protective practices against workplace respiratory hazards and can help a facility comply with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Respiratory Protection Program Standard 29 C.F.R.1910.134. The program can be easily adapted for implementation at individual sites and can be downloaded from the API Web site athttp://www.polyurethane.org.
