This company now offers a new line of modular hot melt coaters — the Roll Coater Series. The equipment is designed for applications demanding very precise, streak-free coating depositions. In many cases, roll coaters can apply lower coat weights of hot melts, 100-percent solids and warm melts than other coating techniques. Selected adhesives have been successfully coated at 4 gm/m2. The modules can be configured for a variety of roll-coating configurations such as gravure, offset gravure, reverse roll and multiple roll, in widths up to 80 inches and line speeds to 1,200 fpm.
