NYTEMP® processed fasteners are designed for manufacturers requiring consistent self-locking capabilities at temperatures up to 450ºF. Made of high-temperature-resistant polymer, the locking element is applied as an orange-colored patch to internally or externally threaded parts, and meets the torque and vibration requirements of MIL-DTL-18240F when tested at 450ºF. The fasteners also satisfy the IFI-124 and IFI-524 specifications, and are ideal for assembly applications in aerospace, automotive, appliances and other areas where heat of this magnitude is encountered.
