Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has announced the promotion of Matt Monroe as plant manager of its Grand Junction, CO, plant, which manufactures many of the company's specialty chemicals for elastomers, coatings, inks, adhesives, and electronics applications. The promotion was made effective earlier this year. As plant manager, Monroe will be responsible for all operations, including production, packaging, shipping/receiving, and maintenance at the ISO 9001:2000-registered plant. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Ricon Resins, Inc., which Sartomer acquired in 2000. "Matt Monroe is an excellent choice for plant manager at our Grand Junction facility," said Larry Athens, vice president of Operations. "He certainly holds the credentials to lead this plant towards even greater achievements."
