ND Plastisol is a specialized liquid vinyl dispersion of PVC, which can be fused to a fastener by externally applied heat. When applied to the underside of screws, bolt heads and rivets, the product seals out solids, liquids and gases, and insulates against noise and reduces vibration. The sealant is weather-resistant, self-extinguishing, and can be formulated to resist harsh chemical environments, abrasion, UV radiation and ozone. It can be produced in a range of hardnesses from soft foam to a hard, dense solid, and offers dielectric strength. It also stays flexible at very low temperatures, and is available in virtually any color, including fluorescent and clear.
