Polybutadienes with hydroxyl functionalities of four are now commercially available from Sartomer Co. In polyurethane elastomer systems, these products accelerate the crosslinking reaction, increase elastomer hardness and improve compression set. Other benefits include: multi-hydroxyl functionality to increase crosslinking density in elastomers and foams; superior water repellency; excellent dielectric characteristics; and reduced compression sets. Target markets for the Krasol LBH 2000, Poly bd R-45HTLO and Krasol LBH 2040 products include polyurethane elastomers and foams, water-resistant polyurethane membranes, electric potting/encapsulation compounds, and adhesives and sealants.
