Sika Corporation USA recently held an open house to officially recognize the completion and start-up of a new manufacturing plant dedicated solely to the production of chemical admixtures for concrete. The plant, located in Conyers, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, began production and shipment of products on April 15. The new facility has tremendous storage capacity, rail access and state of the art mixing equipment and technology. The potential production capacity of the plant approaches 10.5 million gallons annually. In addition to the production areas, the facility also contains an on-site Quality Control Laboratory, a Dispenser Equipment Assembly and Storage Workshop, and the Southeastern Region Sales & Customer Service Office. This expansion was achieved in conjunction with the HFH of Georgia L.P., who purchased the property and erected the new buildings for Sika's use.
