Scapa has introduced Duofoam S906 and S3431 double-coated white polyethylene foam tapes designed for wire mounting, gasketing and spacing, and nameplate bonding in electrical assembly applications. Both products have been awarded UL-recognition QOQW2 as polymeric adhesive systems for electrical equipment and components (reference #MH29515). Double-coated with rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesives, these products offer good adhesion on a variety of surfaces, as well as high shear strength for excellent load bearing. The products' high adhesive coat weight allows them to adhere to irregular surfaces. Good quick stick facilitates tape application. The products' foam backing provides good thermal insulation properties. Duofoam S3431 delivers a consistent, lasting bond and a clean-edge finish. The product also offers heat-sealing benefits.
