Radiation Curing of Coatings
Author: Joseph V. Koleske
Publisher: ASTM International
Radiation-curing technology is strongly emerging within the coatings, adhesives, inks and sealants markets as an ecologically sound means of increasing production while improving working conditions as well as maintaining high quality and profitability. This book deals with the use of electron beam, ultraviolet radiation, and light or visible radiation as energy sources for effecting cure. Both cationic and free-radiation mechanisms are discussed as methods for curing formulations based on compounds such as cycloaliphatic epoxides, vinyl ethers, and acrylate monomers and oligomers.
