INVISTA has announced a five cents per pound increase to all off-schedule prices for all packages and grades of Adi-pure high purity adipic acid. The increase goes into effect March 15, 2004. "This price increase is being driven by rising raw material prices and a tightening supply and demand balance," said Kevin Kenaley, global marketing director. Adi-pure high purity adipic acid delivers value as the "backbone" intermediate in applications such as polyamides, polyesters, polyurethanes and plasticizers.
