Sartomer Facilities Honored by ACC
Four of Sartomer Co.'s facilities were honored by the American Chemistry Council for outstanding workplace safety records this August. The company received the ACC certificates based on the facilities' safety records for 2002. Specifically, the company's manufacturing plants in Chatom, AL, Stratford, CT, and Chatham, VA received Certificates of Excellence, which are awarded to facilities with no on-the-job deaths and no lost workday cases among both employees and contractors. Additionally, the company's Grand Junction, CO, manufacturing plant received a Certificate of Achievement, which is awarded to facilities with no deaths and no lost workday cases involving days away from work.
