HARVIN ENTERS INTO NEW PIGMENT DISPERSION MANUFACTURING BUSINESS
Harvin Reaction Technology has entered into a new business: pigment dispersion manufacturing. Harvin announced taking over the operations of M-R-S Chemicals, Inc., a pigment dispersion manufacturer formerly located in New Haven, MO. All M-R-S operations have now been relocated to Harvin's manufacturing plant in Greensboro. Dick Baum, Harvin's vice president of Operations and general manager, said: "This strategic relocation will permit Harvin to better service its primary customers in the flexible foam, carpet underlay, and rubber molding industries. We believe this new line of business holds the potential for significant growth, and we are committing substantial resources to achieve that goal." Harvin, which traces its roots back to 1968, has recently expanded its bulk storage tank and reactor capacities. In addition to its basic business of manufacturing polyols, Harvin also specializes in new product design and custom-design modifications to existing products.
