SynSkin composite surfacing films and Hysol film adhesives with conductive foils offer lightning-strike protection. The new film products combine the benefits of film adhesives, which have been laminated onto lightweight conductive mesh, to provide a family of singular films that can be used as a conductive lightning-strike surfacing layer for aerospace composites. The products also provide users with improved surface quality for the cured composite part, greater protection of the composite surface, as well as significantly greater protection for the conductive foil during sand-and-fill operations.
