Hamid Shahrastani has joined AccuPlace as general manager of Engineering and Operations. He brings with him more than two decades of experience in manufacturing and R&D, a M.S. in Engineering Management/Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and a BSEE from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In his previous position as senior director of Engineering at Boston Scientific Corp., Shahrastani was responsible for all engineering activities, including manufacturing process development, new product introduction, technology development, facilities engineering and equipment engineering. His strengths include in-depth expertise in lean manufacturing, creating metrics-driven organizations and systematic problem solving.
