Charles Ross and Son Co. has announced the completion of a special 600-gallon Dual Shaft Mixing/Dispersion/Control System. The fixed tank mixing system was designed for operation under full vacuum conditions. The independently driven mixers provided were a slow-speed anchor with hinged Teflon wall scrapers and a high-shear rotor/stator mixer. The high shear mixer was also provided with a unique solids-injection attachment. A custom-designed, piped skid system (with metering systems for minor liquid additions) and a self-contained vacuum pump were included. The control panel provided with the mixer was designed to control mixing processes, including automatic metering, mixer speed, vacuum and cycle timers.
