AKRON, Ohio — Flexsys America L.P. was selected as a 1999 EDI Innovation Award recipient. This award recognizes successful innovators in Northeast Ohio. Companies are recognized for the creation and use of a product, process, service or business practice that has measurably enhanced the value of their organizations.

Flexsys has developed a new, dramatically cleaner process to manufacture 4-ADPA, a product that helps rubber resist oxidation, ozone attack and flex fatigue. This new process eliminates 95% of all waste produced and cuts chloride waste to zero. The innovation has been implemented in a new manufacturing facility at Flexsys’ plant site in Antwerp, Belgium.
