Luzenac Group, a leading talc producer, has announced the extension of its business unit organization mode worldwide, effective Jan. 1. The four new global Business Units are centered on Luzenac's core markets of Paints & Coatings, Paper, Polymers (plastics and rubber), and Specialties (including ceramics, personal care, agriculture & food, and wastewater). The Business Units, with their sales and development departments, are based at the company's regional headquarters in Toulouse, Denver and Singapore. Roger Jakeman has been appointed vice president of the new Worldwide Paints and Coatings Business Unit. Market development has been entrusted to Ed McCarthy for the Americas and Jean-Jacques Pauly for Europe. Bob Beck, Patrice Valero and Francis Lee will manage sales in North America, Europe and Asia, respectively.
