In line with its growth strategy, MÜNZING has acquired the liquid defoamer business of Hexion Speciality Chemicals B.V. The business will be integrated into MÜNZING’s existing Paper and Coatings Additives business and it strengthens the company’s position in architectural and industrial coatings segments, as well as in adhesives. The acquisition was completed in January.

The transaction includes the transfer of Hexion’s complete liquid defoamer line and all customer relationships. The production of the defoamer line will be integrated into MÜNZING’s additive plant in Heilbronn, Germany, in April 2008.
