LANXESS Chief Financial Officer Matthias Zachert was recently named CEO of the Year atChemical Weekmagazine’s 13th Annual CFO Conference.

Chemical Week’s CFO of the Year Award was established in 2001 to recognize and honor the best in the chemical industry for financial leadership. The award highlights the role the CFO plays in the stewardship of any business and emphasizes the important responsibility the position assumes in setting a tone of trust and integrity within the culture of an organization.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Zachert was the keynote presenter on the topic ofSurviving and Thriving in Today’s Financial Turbulence. Mr. Zachert was appointed Chief Financial Officer of LANXESS AG in 2004.
