Pilot Chemical Co., Cincinnati,
has announced the appointment of David Ligon to its board of directors.
Ligon is the founder and managing partner of Brightwell Capital
Partners LLC, an asset management and advisory firm serving privately held
U.S.-based businesses based in Los
Angeles. Prior to founding Brightwell in 2008, he
worked for Emporia Capital Management, Union Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, First
Interstate Bank and Bank of America.
Ligon has over 24 years of experience with privately held
“middle-market” businesses in diverse industries throughout the U.S. His
experience includes acquisitions, consolidations, marketing, origination,
underwriting, restructuring, problem loan resolution, portfolio management,
loan syndications, asset-based lending, leasing, cash-flow lending, treasury
management, equity and debt placements and international trade.
Ligon graduated with High Honors from the University
of Texas at Austin in 1985 with an undergraduate degree
in finance, and has completed various training and education courses throughout
his career, including the joint Stanford/Harvard executive course in leading
change and organization renewal.
