Cray
Valley has named Steven K.
Henning as its new director of research and development.
Henning previously managed the Rubber Applications Lab for Cray
Valley’s sister company, Sartomer Company Inc., where he was responsible for
technical and market development projects for functional additives in cure
chemistry and adhesion applications. He joined the Sartomer Specialty Chemicals
division in 2004 as a senior applications chemist responsible for research and
development of technology related to elastomer curing.
Henning received his B.S. in materials science and engineering
from the Pennsylvania State University
in 1995 and a master’s degree in polymer science from the University of Akron
in 2004.
Based in Exton, PA,
Cray Valley USA LLC is part of Total’s chemical branch. Cray Valley
provides hydrocarbon resins, Norsolene®and Wingtack®tackifying resins, and Poly BD®,
Ricon®, Krasol®,
SMA®, and Saret®rubber coagents. These products are used
as raw materials for adhesives, rubber and other applications.
