IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® has
bestowed its highest corporate honors upon Raytheon Co. and DuPont. During the
IPC Annual Meeting Luncheon held in conjunction with IPC APEX EXPOTM,
IPC awarded the Stan Plzak Corporate Recognition Award to Raytheon Co. and the
Peter Sarmanian Corporate Recognition Award to DuPont. Leaders and innovators
within their respective industries, both companies have been long-time IPC
supporters.
The Stan Plzak Corporate
Recognition Award is presented to a corporation (or division) in the
electronics assembly industry that has taken initiative to actively contribute
to enhancing the industry while demonstrating support of IPC through
participation in technical and/or management programs. This award is named
after a former board chairman who was also a founding member of the IPC
Electronics Manufacturing Services Industry Management Council, Stan Plzak.
Raytheon Co. has been an IPC
member since 1971 and currently has 18 member facilities. Seventy-seven
Raytheon Co. employees actively serve on IPC standards development committees
with seven employees serving as chairs, vice chairs or co-chairs of committees
on boards and assembly.
Named for a former IPC Board
Chairman, the Peter Sarmanian Corporate Recognition Award honors an IPC member
company in the printed circuit board industry that has taken a leadership role
and made contributions to the industry while demonstrating support of IPC
through participation in technical and/or management programs.
DuPont has been an IPC
member since 1964 with three member facilities. Thirty DuPont employees hold 81
committee memberships and three employees currently serve as chairs or vice
chairs of four committees.
