The new laboratory PowerMix model PD-2 can be used for the development of viscous materials that require a combination of low- and high-speed agitation. The new design features an automated tilting mix vessel and a self-contained control panel. The patented disperser combines a slow-speed planetary stirrer with a conventional high-speed disperser. Both agitators revolve on their own axis simultaneously with a common axis.

The high-speed blade provides an internal shearing action, while the planetary stirrer continually moves material into the high-speed blade. The action of the planetary blade also removes material from the tank wall to ensure efficient heat transfer during the mixing process.

The PowerMix is available in sizes from 1/2 gal to 750 gal working capacity. In addition, vacuum construction in a range of materials, complete control systems, wall scrapers, jackets for heating and cooling, sanitary designs, and more are available.
