Michelman has added new reactor capacity at its Cincinnati, Ohio, headquarters, as well as additional personnel in business units and departments throughout the company. Reactors are used in the processing of many water-based surface modifiers, additives and polymers, including interior and exterior wood coatings, industrial coatings, fibers and composites, construction coatings, digitial printing, paper, and packaging.
“Our U.S. business volume has rebounded sharply this year, with most every market segment exceeding 2008 levels,” said Laurie Thomas, vice president, Supply Chain. “The reactor capacity we’ve added increases our output capabilities by 20-25% and will allow us to better serve our growing customer base. We’re going to continue to aggressively invest appropriately in people, technology and equipment in order to continue providing the world-class service and response time our customers have come to expect.”
