Greg Bachmann, president of DYMAX Corp., is among 24 manufacturing leaders appointed to the 2010 Manufacturing Council by U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. The council advises the secretary on matters relating to the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector, as well as government policies and programs that affect U.S. manufacturers.
“A vibrant manufacturing sector isn't just critical for the millions of Americans whose jobs depend on it,” Locke said. “Manufacturing is absolutely central to driving the innovation that fuels the American economy.”
Originally established in 2004 and re-chartered on July 14, 2010, the Manufacturing Council members represent a range of U.S. industries, with the Secretaries of Labor, Energy, and Treasury serving as ex-officio members.
