Celanese Corp. has named Peter Holmes, Ph.D., to the position of chief Marketing officer, effective December 13. Holmes has spent more than 24 years working in the fine chemicals and specialty materials industry. He most recently served as senior vice president for Cherokee Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for the company’s services business. He began his career as a senior scientist in Discovery Agricultural Chemicals at Rohm and Haas.
