Solprene® 1217 is a styrene-butadiene copolymer (SSBR grade) that provides thermal stability and high resistance to stronger process conditions. The material can be used in hot-melt adhesive formulations, as well as many specialty adhesives formulations due to its compatibility with a range of tackifier resins.
“Some of our customers needed a polymer that could be processed at higher temperatures. At the same time, they wanted a product that could reduce polymer incorporation time and avoid gel generation during processing,” said Walter Ramirez, Ph.D., director of Technology. Solprene 1217 was the solution proposed by Dynasol to the market for superior thermal stability-even during extreme processing conditions-without high gel generation. S-1217 can help hot melt manufacturers increase productivity and reduce operating costs.
