Emerald Performance Materials LLC recently announced it has named Brian A. Denison president of Emerald Kalama Chemical BV. In addition, Denison will continue as vice president of Operations and Health, Safety and Environmental for Emerald Performance Materials.

“Brian has been an integral part of the overall Emerald Kalama success story and is a recognized leader in our industry,” said Edward T. Gotch, president of Emerald Kalama Chemical. “In particular, Brian’s expertise in operations and technology will enable us to build a strong enterprise through sharing and implementing best practices.”

The company was formed in December 2010 when Emerald acquired the business and assets of DSM Special Products BV (DSP). The Emerald Kalama Chemical business unit now comprises its European and U.S. operating companies: Emerald Kalama Chemical BV and Emerald Kalama Chemical LLC.
