Many acrylic-based and UV-curable compounds will cure when subjected to shear stress, which has previously required the use of piston pumps for metering these materials. Beinlich NL series metering pumps use proprietary design and material combinations to reportedly allow the use of a gear pump with these materials and eliminate the flow interruption caused when piston pumps reciprocate.
Standard construction materials include 316 series stainless and silicon carbide for pressures up to 100 bar and PEEK with silicon carbide in a low-mass design for pressures to 40 bar. The pumps can provide high volumetric efficiencies even at low speed, and are available with displacements ranging from 0.25-7.3 cc/rev, with larger sizes available on request.
